Requirements for a Fellowship Program

Requirements to obtain § 10 permission to temporarily work as a medical doctor at LMU Munich University Hospital (imposed by the government of Upper Bavaria):

• Curriculum Vitae
• Copy of passport
• Copy of qualification to study medicine (final High School report, copy of entry exam)
• Certified copy of medical school diploma (for clinical fellowships only)
• Certified copy of university diploma (for research fellowships only)
• Certified copy of residency certificate (for clinical fellowships only)
• Certified copy of fellowship certificate (if applicable)
• Proof Medical Liability cover for Germany
• Official or official certified copy of transcript (in English) from medical school (for clinical fellowships only)
• Certificate "Qualifizierungsstufe 2", stating the knowledge of the German language at a certain level

Additional requirements

• Proof of health insurance cover for Germany

Funding

The figures below are intended to provide prospective candidates an estimate of program expenses (education fee, mentorship fee and program administration), subjcet to variation. Candidates are responsible for funding of the following estimated expenses:

Observership 3 months:               9.000,- Euro
Fellowship 6 months:                 15.000,- Euro
Fellowship per  year:                   24.000,- Euro
