Psychiatric centre in Sharjah

Mental disorders pose the substantial, worldwide challenge for healthcare, which is predicted to further increase in the next decades. The treatment of patients suffering from these diseases has a longstanding tradition at Munich University Medical Centre, making it currently one of the top psychiatric institutions in Europe. The Al Qasimi family has chosen MMI to plan and establish a treatment centre for mental disorders in the Emirate of Sharjah. With the support of the government, local stakeholders and particular her Highness Sheika Jameela al Qasimi MMI is developing a medical concept which will be tested in a feasibility study.
