Faculty Development Programs
Munich Medical International offers a special "Teach the Teacher Program" for medical instructors to improve the quality of education regarding content, structure and didactics. The program was developed in cooperation with Harvard Medical International and has been conducted for Medical Faculties in Germany and Europe.

The goals of the program are on two levels - individual and organizational. MMI aims to create more self-directed teachers, whose actions are guided by adult learning principles in all their educational ventures. Second, MMI hopes to train a cadre of tutors who possess a higher degree of commitment to the organizational change in which they are participating.
Exercises throughout the five-day immersion course require active participation of the faculty and include:
- case writing
- tutoring
- assessment strategies
- reflection on their own teaching
- presentation skills
To date, more than 1000 faculty members have been trained in this format.

Results from evaluation revealed that all participants benefited from the workshop and would also recommend the workshop to others. The motivation to attend the course was mainly out of personal interest or because colleges had recommended the course. The attendants stated, that the course improved their teaching skills, had a moderate influence on the network in the university and had advanced their career to some degree. It was very encouraging to learn, that 96 % of participants would attend an advanced level workshop of faculty training.
